What To Wear For Your Summer Family Photo Shoot
Hello, Summer! I know it’s still hit-and-miss with sunny days here in Surrey, but we can officially talk about summer now, right?
More than any other question, clients always ask what they should wear to their family session. Coordinating your outfits can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be! I am excited to share these Earthy Tone outfit ideas for the family session with you!
From cool tones to warm tones, neutrals, and fresh tones, I’ve created these inspiration boards to simplify the planning process and ensure an enjoyable family photo session experience with beautiful photos. All these outfits were created using only two brands: Zara and Next. This will make shopping easier and save you time and stress.
During the summer, we naturally lean towards lighter and brighter colours, often embracing prints and saturated colours in our clothing.
However, it’s important to balance these vibrant choices with neutrals. Bold colours and prints can sometimes distract from the overall look and may affect the skin tones in photographs providing guidance on where to stand and what to do.
When choosing outfits, consider colour “families” and aim to dress everyone in cool tones (more blue and grey) or warm tones (camel, sage green, blush, off-white, etc). Textures like knits and layers are great options too! Also, remember how the colours in your images will complement the walls in your home when you print and display them!
