Pregnancy is a truly beautiful and special time for every woman, and one wonderful way to celebrate this incredible milestone is by having a maternity photoshoot in Surrey.

Kate chose to have her maternity session in her beautiful light-filled home in Weybridge, Surrey, just a 30-minute drive from my studio in Reigate.

In-home pregnancy and newborn sessions will always be my absolute favourite to photograph. This at home maternity photoshoot in Surrey was no exception! Since Kate wanted to capture some memories with her husband and son, we agreed that their home would be the most natural setting for relaxed-style pregnancy and family photographs.

Consultation call

During our consultation call, we discussed her style preferences, and she told me that she loved the light and natural feel of her maternity photo session. She saw some studio maternity portraits with the mom wearing jeans and a bra, which she loved, but she also wanted a feminine dress.

Some of my clients don’t realise that my studio wardrobe is also available for in-home sessions! I handpicked a few stunning gowns from my studio collection, including an ivory dress that perfectly complemented Kate’s style. The photos were magical and even had a cinematic touch to them!

But let me tell you, it wasn’t all about serious poses and perfect smiles. We had a ton of fun during this maternity session! I believe in capturing the various emotions and feelings that moms experience while waiting for their baby. So, we created different looks and outfits, capturing the joy, excitement, and anticipation that filled their home.

Family memories | Maternity Photoshoot in Surrey

Not only did we focus on Kate, but we also made sure to capture beautiful moments with her son, her husband, and even her parents-in-law. These photos are truly treasures that will be cherished for a lifetime. Now, I have to mention that not all family members wanted their portraits shared publicly, and I completely respect their privacy. Some memories are meant to be kept within the family, and that’s perfectly okay.
